Hardboiled is a dark comedy about the perils of a suicidal egg. Worked with Brian Oakley and Aaron Kablack an few others on this short animation back at SCAD. Though We had finished the project, I am currently cleaning up the scenes and will post a few of them over this month.

This is just a satire...
Started work on a project called "Arab in America". Directed by Nabil Abou-Harb, a SCAD film student, this film is a satire on all the stereotypes and fears circulating in America right now. (Want to know more?)
One of the scenes required a though bubble for a paranoid cop. Here are the elements that go in there.

Matter that makes a difference...? Think again
Time and time again, our space is being clawed with a gorge hook of primitive, yet profuse information. Tides like Digg.com and Slashdot.com and a billion others have drained resources and this process is reaching a point of redundancy.
My friend and former boss at the e-learning dept from Savannah College of Art and Design, Chris A Bass has started an innovative idea called Webbyr. Webbyr is a minimalist art form that defies how far we have gone in this sea of cognizance. The elementary design is such that if anyone can submit an idea, it is the only idea displayed for any one person when they visit the site. Trippy.... http://www.webbyr.com/ Check!

S U M M E R B I R D S i n t h e c e l l a r
Mike Goubeaux and Andrew Muto, Two recent Film grads from Savannah College of Art and Design won the Scion xPress Fest Music Video Contest last year. They had made a music video for the Psychedelic band Summer Birds in the Cellar (Myspace link) . I had got to be an extra where I play a frustrated bank customer and start grabbing money from the pretty tellar. Didn't realise that I would be one of the most treated characters in the video. Watch!
The animation in the video was all done with Toon Boom was recently featured in the Toon Boom website (here).
The duo have currently finished shooting another movie called "Midway Down" which is about a crazy guy named Midway (played by Ian Pfaff) who journeys all across the states to find his love. I got to play a small role of the manager who gets to fire Midway. (behind the scenes) Shall update the post once I get to know about any release dates. Cheers !

I was glad I managed to save up some of the initial sketches that were made so you can get to see the evolution of the illustration.

Cue Card: Readability.
I was assigned to design Icons for an online course for SCAD e-Learning. The Icons had to be universally recognizable and it had to have some Typographic Reference. Given a certain color pallet, made a four color variations for each of them. The initial concepts also dealt with varied classical style and a pajama patter for the letters, but the limiting factor was it had to look very cleaned up and yet work within the small frame size of 75x75 pixels thus they could not be very intricate.
